The Middleburg Classic Horse Show

was founded by a small group of friends determined to make a difference in the fight against the AIDS epidemic, which had deeply impacted the horse show community.

Last year, the show shifted its charitable focus to support the Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC), whose mission—to protect and restore the lands and waters of the Virginia Piedmont while fostering strong, sustainable communities—resonates deeply with the values of the equestrian world.

We are proud to continue this meaningful partnership in 2025 and invite you to join us in supporting this beloved tradition. Now in its 32nd year, the 2025 Middleburg Classic will take place from September 17th to 21st at the historic Salem Farm Show Grounds in Upperville, VA. Your support, whether through sponsorship or participation, helps preserve not only the spirit of this event but also the community and landscapes that make it truly special.

Please email office@middleburgclassic.com with any questions.

The Piedmont Environmental Council is a locally based, donor supported 501(c)(3) nonprofit and an accredited land trust. We strive to make the Virginia Piedmont a model and leader on conservation, restoration, smart growth and climate action. At the core of our approach is a focus on educating, engaging and empowering people to effect positive change in their communities.
